EasyJet has just announced that it will begin operating a new, cheap flight to Salzburg this winter. The inaugural flight to Salzburg will depart on Decebmer 17th and will fly twice weekly, with fares starting at 28 pounds. More than 9,000 seats will go on sale for this new route out of Luton Airport.

Salzburg is one of the finest European destinations for alpine skiers, and also one of the most intriguing for history buffs. It is the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the setting for the popular musical The Sound of Music.
