BRAINTRUSTdv is more concerned with the history of video technology than with the latest development; more concerned with aesthetic debates than with technical specifications; more concerned with articulate arguments than with terse weblog exchanges.

BRAINTRUSTdv solicits essays from conscientious storytellers and artists, seasoned professionals and academics. Each essay is well-informed and reflective, the result of applicable experience or study. Within these parameters, we welcome the thoughts and concerns of passionate neophytes, and we encourage anyone to submit an essay who feels compelled to do so. BRAINTRUSTdv interviews insightful and engaging individuals who have achieved some degree of meaningful accomplishment in digital video and related fields, whether as artists, professors, technicians, or event organizers. These interviews are distinguished by their international scope and by their dedication to those quieter but often richer voices which have an untapped capacity to inspire.
