Overnight in a Wright
Who does not know? He has greatly influenced American architecture, thanks to his talent and the fact that he enjoyed a long career in architecture.
Apart from iconic design of the Fallingwater for the Kaufmann residence, Wright became a household name when he designed the Prairie House. Prairie Houses became vogue. Houses had open plans, were horizontal and were made of natural materials.
If you are fascinated with architectural designs, particularly those of Frank Lloyd Wright's, you can always head for Pittsburgh and see the Fallingwater.
Want to take the experience a bit further? Well if you have the moolah and if you know which strings to pull, you can do a Brad Pitt and celebrate in the living room of the Kaufmann residence.
Another great alternative is to stay at one of Frank Lloyd Wright designed houses.
The Louis Penfield House in Ohio can be rented for a minimum of two nights. Up to 5 people are allowed to stay at any given time, with a cost of $275 per night, plus tax. To reserve, click here.
The Duncan House, another Usonian structure like the Penfield House, in Pennsylvania is available for two-night weekend stays. It costs $385 a night. Check out the details at Polymathpark.
Don't you think that an overnight at Wright is the best way to study Wright's architecture?
