South Tyrol is a popular tourist destination in northern Italy, and is also known by its Italian name of Alto Adige. If youire staying at the Hotel South Tyrol for your holiday there, you may want to tour around the area, but you may not know what are your options.

If you use a taxi service to get you around South Tyrol, then you may spend hundreds. Fortunately, from your accommodation at Hotel South Tyrol, you can easily take a bus or train as most places in the area are well connected.

One very cheap way to travel around South Tyrol is to use a value card. The card ranges from five, ten and twenty five euros, and it lets you travel inside South Tyrol and up to Trento or Innsbruck by train or bus. The advantage of having this card is that you'll pay significantly less anytime you take a train or bus. Interestingly, this card is only valid in South Tyrol and cannot be used in other parts of Italy. If you're keen to get a hold of this value card, you can purchase one from bakeries, bars, restaurants and supermarkets which have a value card identification sticker.
